The New York Giants took on the Dallas Cowboys to begin the 2019 season. Unfortunately, the Giants were not able to get the win and ended up falling to the Cowboys by the score of 35-17. In the early stages, the Giants did look good as they forced the Cowboys to punt on the first drive. The Giants first drive ended in a touchdown as Eli Manning connected with tight end Evan Engram. While it was enjoyable to see the Giants look good, it wouldn’t last long. The Cowboys would answer back with their own touchdown. Dak Prescott would connect with Jarwin on a 25 yard touchdown.

The Giants weren’t able to answer back on would be forced to punt twice. While the Giants kept punting, the Cowboys kept scoring. First, Dak Prescott connected with Jason Witten and later would connect with Amari Cooper. The Giants went into half down 21-7. On the first drive in the third quarter, the Giants got a field goal. At this point, the Giants were down 21-10. If they were able to stop the Cowboys here, then they could have really made this a game. The Giants were not able to stop the Cowboys as they entered the end zone two more times. Once was with Cobb and the later one was with Ezikel Elliot. The Giants only saw the end zone one more time as Wayne Gallman Jr had a 2 yard run. However, it didn’t help anything as the Giants fell 35-17 to the Cowboys.

For starters, the Giants can’t give up the ball like they did. When you give up the ball multiple times in a game, it doesn’t help your chances in winning. In addition, they need to get better on 3rd down converting. You can’t win in the National Football league when your opponent is converting 60% of the time. It’s worth noting the Giants only converted 18%. Let’s not forget that we did see a small sample of Daniel Jones in the 4th quarter. If we are seeing him take snaps this early, this is going to be a long season for the Giants.

Next up for the Giants is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills came off a comeback win over the Jets as they won 17-16. For the Cowboys, they play the Washington Redskins.
