Earning a BYE

Their schedule won’t do them any favors. While they have a few winnable games, their run before their bye week will be a tough stretch. The AFC matchups this year will be against tough teams with the Chiefs, Dolphins, and Raiders in the middle of their schedule. They do into the bye week against two tough teams and come back against the Super Bowl champs and then division rivals.

Tough Wrap Up

The Giants will have a heck of a time to end the season if they don’t make progress to start. Facing the Eagles, Bears, and Washington Football team to finish the year is a challenge. At that point, their season will either A. be over or B. they’ll need those division wins to get in. Their division rivals will either be playing for the same spot or looking to play spoiler.

Some Hope

While the Giants will have a tough go at it this season, there’s certainly a shot they’ll make progress. If the rest of the NFC East stumbles, they’ll be right back in the thick of it. The only problem with that is, they won’t be much contention when it comes to the playoffs. If they can manage 8 wins the season should be considered a success. How they’ll get those eight wins will be the tough part though.
