Week 3 has begun as the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans played on Thursday Night. The Jaguars would go on to win 20-7. Now the action shifts to a week 3 that is going to be interesting. One of those games we will see the 0-2 New York Giants take on the 1-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The New York Giants head down to Tampa Bay in search of the team’s first win of the season. What makes this game different than previous ones is that there will be someone other than Eli Manning starting at QB.

As the news broke earlier this week, the New York Giants are benching Eli Manning and are starting first round pick, Daniel Jones. This is the second time the New York Giants have decided to go this route. As we saw back in 2017, head coach Ben McAdoo would end up benching Eli Manning. While they did have Davis Webb on the bench, they ended up going with Geno Smith. The Giants ended up losing to the Oakland Raiders. Eli Manning was given the starting role the week after. Unless, Daniel Jones plays absolute horribly or gets injured I highly doubt that Eli Manning will be playing in this game.

The Giants need to get the passing defense under control. In week 1 and 2, Dak Prescott and Josh Allen combined for 658 passing yards and no interceptions. In addition, the New York Giants need to stop on third downs. In 2 weeks, they have the other team a new set of downs roughly 50 percent of the time. In order for the Giants to win, there defense needs to play better.

The Giants played an average Buffalo team last week and got embarrassed. When your playing a team that hasn’t done much better. The Buccaneers have produced little to no offense. This won’t be a classic game, but we will get a close one to the end. As long as the Giants don’t make simple mistakes they have in the first two weeks, I don’t see how they can lose.

Prediction: New York Giants 21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17  .
