New York Knicks: Enes Kanter Blames James Dolan For Struggles
Former Knick, Enes Kanter went on “The Full 48 Podcast” with Howard Beck and said James Dolan is the reason why the New York Knicks keep missing out on top free agents.
Not many people know that, but players talk,” Kanter said on the Full 48 Podcast with Howard Beck. “From different teams, they talk. I’m not blaming anybody — I had an amazing time with the Knicks. But other teammates I talked to or if they’re on different teams, they always said, ‘Amazing city, MSG is amazing. Everything is so good, but the ownership.’ They always keep saying, ‘But the ownership
That’s nothing new but this is a problem that must be fixed. Think back to this offseason when there were strong rumors that the Knicks were in the running for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. What happened? The Brooklyn Nets came in and swiped both players.
Then it was announced that the Knicks didn’t even offer a meeting with free agent Kawhi Leonard. Kanter would also go on to praise the city, the fans, and MSG but the talk around the league has been negative.
If the Knicks fans are listening, I always try to (tell) every player: the Knicks are an amazing team, crazy fans, MSG is amazing,” Kanter said. “Just come here. If you win here, you’re the king. But like I said, a lot of the players are scared.
If the New York Knicks are to get back into the rat race, will James Dolan have to be let go in order for that to happen? If players are talking and Dolan is the reason the Knicks can’t secure an All-Star, it may be time for a change.
