NFL: Biggest Matchups of Week 2

NFL QB Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys

The NFL kicks off week two with some challenging matchups. Between division rivals and powerhouse teams, here are some of the biggest matchups of Week 2:

Buffalo Bills (0-1) vs Miami Dolphins (1-0) 1 pm – Fox

This division rivalry goes all the way back to the NFL days of Dan Marino vs Jim Kelly. Both teams have been consistently bad since those two quarterbacks retired. Now they’re both on their way back up and each is pushing for the top of the division. Both teams think they have their franchise QB in-house with Josh Allen and Tua Tagovailoa. Can they renew the rivalry for the next generation?

Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) vs Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) 1 pm – CBS

The Raiders are coming off a huge win to start the season. The Steelers just knocked off AFC East favorites in the Buffalo Bills. Not only would a win solidify the one or the other as solid contenders, starting off conference play at 2-0 would be a huge head start towards making the playoffs. Raiders need to prove they’re finally over the hump while the Steelers need to prove their midseason collapse was a fluke.

Tennessee Titans (0-1) vs Seattle Seahawks (1-0) 4:25 – CBS

Tennessee just got a wake-up call against the Arizona Cardinals. They were leaders in the NFL in terms of production in terms of ball movement. With five sacks of QB Ryan Tannehill, the Titans got smacked in the mouth. They could use a rebound against a strong NFC team. The Seahawks had a strong lead over the division last season, but with the entire division getting a win in Week 1, Seattle can’t afford to slip up. A big win against a solid Titans team would help set the pace for the division

Dallas Cowboys (0-1) vs Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) – 4:25 pm

Dallas is coming off a heartbreaking loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Cowboys looked much better than they did last season and hung in until the very end. They need a big rebound against the up-and-coming Chargers to stay on pace with the rest of the NFL. The Chargers barely eeked out a win. They’re facing a hungry Dallas team that will challenge their fortitude. If they come away with a win it’ll be a huge statement for the direction of this team.

Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) vs Baltimore Ravens (0-1)

The Chiefs barely hung on to beat AFC underdogs the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland took it to KC in their own house and nearly pulled off a win. They’ll face a challenging Baltimore Ravens team coming off a tough Monday Night loss. The Ravens will need a strong showing to prove they can not only win but win the close ones. KC will put up points in bunches but in order to be considered contenders, the Ravens will have to match them step for step.

Week 2 is sure to be an exciting one. Who will walk away victorious?
