NFL: Biggest Matchups Of Week 7 (2021)

NFL Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

Approaching the midway point of the NFL season, each game is getting more important than the last. With 10 more wins or loses teams will start pushing for the playoffs or preparing for next year.

Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) vs Baltimore Ravens (5-1)

There might not be a bigger game for the Bengals this season than this one. Baltimore has been tearing up the rest of the NFL so defeating them at home to tie the division lead would be a huge win. The Ravens on the other hand might not need the win quite as bad, but pulling away by two games in the division and the best record in the AFC certainly would help playoff scenarios.

Atlanta Falcons (2-3)vs Miami Dolphins (1-5)

Two teams with losing records won’t exactly scream perfect NFL matchup, but both teams need a win. Approaching the “too far gone” point in the season both the Falcons and the Dolphins need a win. Struggling to stay consistent both teams have looked like their offseason moves have failed. One will take a huge leap towards staying relevant, the other will be paying for pride here on out.

New York Jets (1-4) vs New England Patriots (2-4)

The Jets are coming off a bye week and playing their division rival at home. The Patriots have taken some lumps along the way with tough losses. While their record might not be worth looking forward to this game, the two rookie quarterbacks will be on display for the future of the AFC to watch. Zach Wilson has struggled while Mac Jones has looked promising. Neither team has been consistent at all this year.

Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) vs Tennessee Titans (4-2)

The Chiefs need to bounce back while the Titans could string together impressive wins. They’ve struggled at times this season but back-to-back wins against the Bills and Chiefs would be huge. A win for Kansas City would keep the pace with the rest of the AFC but a loss could spell catastrophe. Should the Titans win and Ravens loss the AFC would be a lot tighter at the top.

Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)vs Las Vegas Raiders (4-2)

With the Dallas Cowboys running away with the division Philadelphia needs to come up big in this game. It’ll be tough to sneak into a wildcard spot this year with the NFC a little more dominant. The Raiders and Chargers are tied for the top of their division with the Chargers on a bye this would be the tie-breaking moment.

Today’s games aren’t the flashiest, but the playoff push starts about mid-season. Who will prove their contenders in the 2021 NFL season?
