NFL Quarterbacks Who Should Be On The Move This Offseason

Matt Ryan

The NFL quarterback carousel should heat up again this year. Teams and quarterbacks have underperformed and everyone will be looking to make moves to better their team this offseason. Who should be on the move when it’s all said and done?

Aaron Rodgers

The first two QBs are on the list, but more than likely won’t go anyway, even though they should. I don’t care that the Packers have won 3 in a row, Aaron Rodgers has proven just how dysfunctional he can make a team when he’s not getting his way. If the Green Bay Packers don’t win the Super Bowl this year, then the rest of the NFL with deep pockets and cap space should come calling.

Russell Wilson

Oh how much Denver dug themselves in a hole here. Yes, firing their head coach in his first season was a good indicator of how bad the team has fallen, but there’s still more to come. Even if they go out and get a guy like Sean Payton to be their savior, they’re still stuck with Russell Wilson. Even if Wilson returns to his old form, his teammates no longer believe in him. The whole season has been spent burned by their frustrations and lack of progress. I don’t think there’s a single NFL team that can take on that contract.

More NFL: Miami Dolphins Are In Crisis Mode

Derek Carr

Tua Tagovailoa

The Miami Dolphins went all in on Tua Tagovailoa. Not only did they go all in on getting talent to boost his productivity, but they also traded away some more to shore up some of their defense. While Tua has had his hot spots this season and no one cheers louder than Dolphins fans for him to succeed, concussions are serious business. He’s not just taking hard hits and getting blindsided, he’s getting pushed to the ground where his head bounces off the field. Yes at full speed that can have a huge impact, but at the same time if it reoccurs in that situation, how can you be confident that the next big hit won’t be dangerous?

Tua Tagovailoa has been one hell of a talent this year, and I get it he wants to show that heart to win and persevere. However, at some point, you have to consider your own personal safety. He’s a smart kid, put him on the coaching staff as a mentor, give him a job in the booth, or find a way for him to be around the game without putting himself at risk. I’m not taking anything away from that young man. Football isn’t the only thing in life, and its a shame he might not be able to reach his full potential.

Matt Ryan

For the second year in a row, Matty Ice is on the list of NFL QBs on the move. If Matt Ryan doesn’t hang it up at the end of 2022, there’s probably a team out there that will take a flyer on him. The Colts weren’t in the best position when they acquired him, but now they’re no better off with him than without him. There’s a good chance he doesn’t make it into camp in 2023.
