NFL: Trump, Pence may be tesitifying in the Collin Kapernick collusion case

It seems that Donald Trump may be involved with something else regarding the NFL. After he uninvited the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House because of the National Anthem issue, he could be asked to testify in Colin Kaepernick‘s collusion case. For the better part of the previous six months, Colin Kaepernick has been planning his lawsuit against the NFL for collusion. There was a report in October that the NFL owners feared Trump’s attack on the situation. During those meetings, there were people who felt that Colin Kaepernick hasn’t signed with a new team because of fear of backlash they would get. The only team that even came close to signing him was the Baltimore Ravens. They ended up signing RG3 instead.

There are several outlets that are now reporting that Kaepernick’s legal team is seeking federal subpoenas that would end up requiring President Donald Trump and others to testify. As the report states, Trump, Pence, or anyone with knowledge of Trump’s agenda could have to testify. While Trump needs to worry about things like our national security, he has been on a path of destruction about the NFL. Trying to fire players who don’t stand for the national anthem.

Personally, I don’t get what the problem is. If we equate this to baseball, then you can look at Jackie Robinson. When he broke the color barrier in 1947, he was getting a ton of backlash. However, the Brooklyn Dodgers gave him a shot and the rest is history. Thus, it will not shock me the least bit if they end up finding out there was collusion against him. My message to Trump is the same thing I have said from the start, people have the right to protest as stated in the first amendment. The government cannot revoke those.
