The first Sunday of the 2019-20 NFL season is underway and the first slate of games set us up for a great season. The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins opened up with their rivalry. The Titans took on the new-look Cleveland Browns, the Kansas Cty Chiefs and the Jags locked horns as did the Vikings and Falcons.

With a combined 7 games in the early afternoon, the NFL scoreboard was in a frenzy. Here is a short recap of the early games.

Washington Redskins (27) vs Philadelphia Eagles (32)

The Eagles started slow but managed to beat the Redskins at home with Carson Wentz passing for 313 yards.

Tennessee Titans (43) vs Cleveland Browns (13)

The Titans went not Clevland and upset the Browns with a stout defensive effort. Marcus Mariota led the way with 248 yards passing.

Atlanta Falcons (12) vs Minnesota Vikings (28)

The Vikings took no prisoners in their season opener with a blowout victory of the Atlanta Falcons. Dalvin Cook led the way with 111 yards and 2 TDs.

Buffalo Bills (17) vs New York Jets (16)

The Bills snatched a victory away from the Jets in their season opener as Josh Allen led the way with 254 yards passing.

Los Angeles Rams (30) vs Carolina Panthers (27)

Ther Rams and the Panthers went back and forth all came with the Rams holding on for a close victory in Week 1 as Jared Goff led the way with 186 yards passing.

Kansas City Chiefs (40) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (26)

The Chiefs opened their season with a convincing win over the Jaguars after QB Nick Foles went down with an injury. Pat Mahomes led the way with 378 yards passing.

Baltimore Ravens (59) vs Miami Dolphins (10)

The Ravens started fast out the gate and the Dolphins were never able to catch their second wind. Lamar Jackson led the way with 324 yards passing.
