NFL: Who Needs A Win More, Bills or Patriots
Thursday Night Football between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills somehow is a must-win for both teams. The Bills are 8-3 and cruising into playoff contention. The Pats are 6-5 and slowly starting to fade with the rest of the underperforming NFL.
Buffalo needs the win as they try to keep pace with the division-leading Miami Dolphins. Miami has a tougher schedule to close out the season so the Bills could afford the loss. However, the New York Jets are not far behind either. Buffalo has been the top team for the past few seasons but has faced struggles. Josh Allen is nursing an injury and Von Miller went down as well. It has been a while since the division was this competitive this late in the season, so every win counts. With so many hurdles to overcome, we’ll see just how resilient this Buffalo Bills team is.
More NFL: Green Bay Should Move On From Rodgers
It seems like it has been a while since the New England Patriots were in last place of the AFC East. The entire NFL season seems like it is upside down compared to the normal. Good teams are playing poorly. Teams that were expected to stink are competing. Still, the Patriots are looking like an average team. Belichick seems out of his league and seems like he’s hanging on just to get the all-time wins. New England isn’t the powerhouse they once were. If the Pats want to stay in the playoff hunt, they need to walk away from this game with a win. After a loss last week, they are the lone AFC East team out of the playoffs and another loss would almost certainly keep them out.
Thursday Night Football rarely has a primetime matchup. The games usually are a snoozefest between two underperforming teams. The Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots might have the biggest matchup of the year for the NFL. Buffalo seems to be the new king of the division. The Patriots need to prove they’re not going away any time soon. Kickoff for the week 13 matchup is scheduled for 8:15 PM EST on Amazon Prime.
