NXT: After Losing at Takeover, Two Ways to Go Further With Mustache Mountain
At NXT Takeover Brooklyn last night, we saw an epic tag team match between the Undisputed Era and Mustache Mountain. While Trent Seven and Tyler Bate put up a valiant effort against Rodrick Strong and Kyle O’ Reilly, they were not able to regain the titles. After the match, we would end up seeing War Raiders attack Undisputed Era. This would lead you to believe that those two teams are heading into a program heading into War Games. However, the WWE needs to continue to do stuff with Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.
As of this writing, the NXT tag team is not where it should be. As of now, you have Undisputed Era, War Raiders, Heavy Machinery, The Mighty, and the Street Profits that are on TV weekly. If the WWE is smart and continues to showcase Mustache Mountain, then I won’t be surprised to see them in the title picture at some point in 2019. You can put them in a program with most of the teams in NXT. It’s safe to say that Undisputed Era and War Raiders will be busy, so those two are off. In all honesty, the WWE hasn’t done much with the other teams. It would be nice to see another tag team feud on NXT.
What is next for Mustache Mountain?
If the WWE doesn’t want to continue to showcase them, I would hence to say that we will then see Trent Seven and Tyler Bate as singles stars in NXT UK. We started seeing Ads for the newest NXT, and you need a franchise person. Due to how much fame that both Tyler Bate and Trent Seven have gotten in NXT, it should be one of them. Those guys are good enough for a singles run or a tag team run. It won’t hurt them at all.
