WWE: Which brand will your favorite NXT superstars end up with?

Raw vs Smackdown

As we saw on Monday, the WWE is making a few changes to Raw. One of them happens to be that six NXT superstars will get called up. They are EC3, Lars Sullivan, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, and the team of Heavy Machinery. Here is the picture that made it official:

I will now go through all six of them and give my take on which brand they go to.

Heavy Machinery: The team of Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight are a good team in NXT. They have only been in NXT for two years. Being that they are green in the ring, Smackdown would be the better brand to suit them. You can have them work with teams like the Usos, New Day, the Bar, and the Club. These are teams that have been in the industry for some time. I could see them being in the title scene in late 2019 or early 2020.

Brand: Smackdown

Nikki Cross: When she was introduced to the WWE/NXT universe, it was with Sanity. When Sanity got called up to the main roster in 2017, Nikki Cross didn’t join them. I figured they would have had Nikki Cross make her own path. She didn’t change her look or music. She belongs on Smackdown to make Sanity full. If they put her on Raw, then they might be hoping for the same thing that happened with Carmella. I find that unlikely.

Brand: Smackdown

Lacey Evans: This one is probably the strangest pick. She wasn’t on NXT that much. However, it seems Vince McMahon really wanted her to get called up. Like it was with Heavy Machinery, Lacey Evans is still rather green in the ring. Raw would make the most logical sense for her to go to. She can learn under stars like Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ember Moon, and others. I’m always hesitant with new superstars going to Raw because I feel they will get lost in the shuffle. I don’t think that will hurt Lacey Evans and I could see her in the title picture in early 2020.

Brand: Raw

EC3: When he signed with the WWE in 2017, I was surprised he didn’t go the AJ Styles route and just go right for the main roster. He has gone through NXT (original format) and been on the main roster. He has what it takes to be the face of a brand. My only concern is with his booking. We saw Bobby Lashley go from being a monster superstar in TNA to a joke in WWE. I hope they don’t put him in some lame mid-card feuds. I hope he gets the right booking and gets put into the main event of Raw.

Brand: Raw

Lars Sullivan- The last of the six guys who are getting called up. Due to Strowman having knee problems, I could see him becoming the big man on Raw. Like EC3, I just hope they don’t book him poorly. I would pay to see him feud with Drew McIntyre.

The issue with any of these call-ups is their booking direction. We have seen the countless amount of times where an NXT star succeeds on the main roster (Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins). However, we have seen our fair share of superstars fail or flop on the main roster from NXT. Guys like The Ascension, Tyler Breeze, and No Way Jose come to mind.

Let us know in the comments as to which brand would you like to see these six superstars go to.
