NXT: Several former NXT stars made appearances at recent tapings
NXT held their latest set of tapings that will go until Takeover Toronto in August. While the current batch of stars were furthering the storylines, there were a few surprises. As of now, Tyler Breeze is the only wrestler from the main roster to go back down to NXT.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, former Sanity member Kilian Dain and Apollo Crews both made separate appearances at the tapings. Kilian Dain made his appearance after attacking the Original Bro, Matt Riddle. He would then put Riddle through the stage with a cannonball. Apollo Crews would make his return for a match against Kushida. For starters, I am all for this. If you can use the guys down in NXT to give them some TV time, no one loses. In all honesty, I would rather be brought back to NXT then go through the garbage of what’s going on both Raw and Smackdown.
I hope the WWE does this for other guys. At the top of the list would be EC3, Eric Young, Nakamura, and Rusev. There are more, but those are the first four that come to mind. As NXT begins to grow, I want their to be more of crossover between the main roster and NXT. On one of the first shows in 2019 for the Comeback Wrestling Show, we were talking about having a Survivor Series match between five main roster guys and five NXT guys. As NXT continues to grow, I would love for this too happen.
I wouldn’t feel guilty if I were one of the superstars being sent to NXT. In the case of Crews and Dain, neither of them were being used properly on the main roster. They were becoming rather stale. At least with them going to NXT, they could be used the right way.
Let us know in the comments below to who you would like to see appear in NXT and tune to the Comeback Wrestling Show every Wednesday Night.
