NXT: Way Too Early Takeover Brooklyn Match Predictions

On Saturday night, the WWE presented it’s latest NXT Takeover event. This one saw the debut former PWG World Champion Keith Lee. In addition, Aleister Black, Shayna Bazler, and Undisputed Era all retained titles. Finally, Tomaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano tore the house down in another fantastic match in their heated feud. Now the WWE and NXT are laying the groundwork for NXT Takeover Brooklyn in August.

[JonBlayneAds] Here are my way-too-early predictions for what matches we will see in Brooklyn
1. Johnny Gargano vs. Tomaso Ciampa in a Hell in the Cell match
2. The debut match of Keith Lee
3. Undisputed Era vs. War Raiders for the NXT Tag titles
4. Shayna Bazler vs. Kiari Sane for the NXT Woman’s title
5. Ricochet vs. Lars Sullivan vs. Velveteen Dream vs. Aleister Black for NXT title

War Raiders will emerge as new #1 Contenders

When NXT returns to Full Sail next week, I see the rematch between Undisputed Era and the team of Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch happening on NXT TV. As we saw last week, War Raiders and TM-61 are set to do something soon. I could see a scenario playing out where its announced that we will be getting a No. 1 contenders match for the tag titles.

Kairi Sane will try defeat Shayna Bazler

The Woman’s roster of NXT is not as strong as it once was. Shayna Bazler, Kairi Sane, Lacey Evans, Dakota Kai, Candice LeRae, Bianca Belair, Aliyah, Nikki Cross, Vanessa Bourne, and Taynara Conti are currently what make up the woman’s division.

Conti and Bourne are not on TV much. Bianca Belair is coming up the ranks but still is in no position for a title shot. Dakota Kai recently had her shot. The two likely ones I could see are Candice LeRae or Kairi Sane. However, I have a feeling this will be Sane’s shot. Candice LeRae will probably get her shot at a later time.

Johnny Gargano and Tomaso Ciampa rubber match

These two former friends have been feuding for some time. In all honesty, it has been the best feud presented in any wrestling promotion for some time. However, this needs to be the end before it becomes stale. I am not saying that I don’t think it will be the last time, just let them do other things.

What better way to end the feud than having it be inside a Hell in the Cell. It would be historical because there hasn’t been one yet in NXT. In addition, one would imagine the limits that these two would put themselves through. As we saw in Chicago, there is nothing that these guys won’t do.
