NXT: The Johnny Gargano/Tommaso Ciampa feud gets better

For most of 2018, the feud of NXT has been Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. To go to where this feud began, we need to go back to last years Takeover Chicago event. The Authors of Pain were defending the NXT Tag titles against D.I.Y (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa). As DIY was walking up the ramp and took a look at the Chicago crowd, Tommaso Ciampa would end up whispering something into Gargano’s ear and then turn on him. He would end up sending him into the stage area. This would be the start of the best feud in NXT. [JonBlayneAds]

This feud would end up taking a bit of a pause as Tommaso Ciampa was on the shelf with a leg injury. Then we fast forward to NXT Takeover Philadelphia, Johnny Gargano took on Andrade “Cien” Almas in the NXT Championship match. This would end up being one of the best matches in the history of the WWE. As Johnny Gargano was walking up the ramp with his wife. Then he would be struck in the back with a crutch being held by Ciampa. Then we would see Ciampa “assist” Almas in winning the belt a few weeks later over Gargano. This would “end” Johnny Gargano’s NXT run. However, we would get the first encounter between Gargano and Ciampa at NXT Takeover New Orleans. This would be a great match.

On the latest episode of NXT, it would be revealed that the two would get another shot at each other with a Chicago Street Fight. It was supposed to be a Last Man Standing match, but those were scrapped when AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura took that stipulation. While the WWE crowd will be looking forward to it, it seems that Johnny’s wife isn’t a fan of it. Here is what she tweeted:

I have said it before and I’ll say it again that this feud is done great because there are personal problems. I wouldn’t mind we get a few more matches between the two before it’s all set and done. A street fight between these two could be a show stealer. In addition, I would have it be the main event. I said it before Takeover New Orleans and I’ll say it again. The WWE has invested a ton of time into this feud and it should close out Chicago. I know you typically see the title getting the last spot, but I see it differently. Whatever is getting the most TV time should be the main event. As of now, Gargano and Ciampa have gotten a ton of TV time.
