Obi-Wan Kenobi: Don’t Let The Toxic Star Wars Fans Sway You
If you’re one of the people who love Star Wars, not the overly critical/toxic fanbase, ones that truly love these stories, then you’re gonna enjoy Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. There’s already the divide with reviews with everyone saying anything from how much they “love the potential” to “Disney is milking it dry”. No show should be without criticisms but two episodes in and people are already writing it off? Just reading those reviews, you know they’re just the people pissed off that Disney owns Star Wars. Nothing Disney does will ever please them, so ignore them.
As for the rest of us, there’s plenty to be excited about regarding the Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series. Disney+ released the first two episodes and even bumped up the release time to give fans early access. It doesn’t matter if they released it early or not, people were going to flock to this series morning, noon, or night. The series has plenty to look forward to and we’ve got questions:

Can They Create Classic Clone Wars Moments
There are a few different moments where Obi-Wan’s dreams haunt him. We’ve seen the flashbacks of his time with Anakin from the prequel series and we see their battle. We don’t see the key moments that take place in The Clone Wars. Those are supposed to be part of the overall story so can they translate them from the animated show to recreate them for live-action or would it come off as too hokey? Plenty of Star Wars fans fell back in love with the franchise after The Clone Wars and it would be disappointing to not at least get a few subtle nods.
Will We See Ahsoka?
While it’s improbable we see Ahsoka Tano in the Obi-Wan series, it’s impossible to rule it out. After all, she’s already appeared in both the Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. They’ve shown her in a limited capacity that never really set up her future plot points. She may never actually run into Kenobi or even Anakin/Darth Vader but that’s not to say she can’t have a place in the story. With her own series set to debut early next year, there has to be some story that leads us there. Given that Ahsoka will be a limited series, they can’t waste too much time building her story.
Will We Get the Epic Showdown
We’ve known that Anakin/Darth Vader will appear, but we don’t exactly know to what capacity. Will we see the two run into each other and Obi-Wan make a quick exit due to Vader’s newly discovered power? Will we get the rematch we’ve been waiting many years to see? We know how each character’s story ends, but another encounter would only make that moment stronger. Lightsaber battles are one of the more exciting moments of the franchise, it would be foolish to not have two of their best characters engage each other at least one more time.

Who Will Be The Big Surprise
So far, there has been a new reveal in each of the Star Wars properties so far. We got Grogu early on in the Mandalorian. Then there was Ahsoka. They even brought back fan-favorite Boba Fett. While there hasn’t been a new series added to give a nod to who could appear, that doesn’t mean someone from Obi-Wan Kenobi’s past won’t show back up. The movies left a lot of deaths and disappearances vague and given how popular the character is it wouldn’t be a stretch to see a big swing on a character reveal.
Is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series without flaws? No. There are a few moments you wish came across a little better, but it doesn’t deserve the 1-2 star reviews some of these toxic fans are delivering. That’s not an honest opinion. Those people have gone in with too much hope and expectation and are mad they didn’t get their way. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fun bit of story we’ve all been waiting for. How the series lives up remains to be seen, but the first two episodes show it has plenty of potential.
