Power: Tasha Got What She Deserved From Silver While Angela Put Ghost First

Season 5 of Power has been about revenge, purpose, reconnecting, and loyalty. In the beginning, Tasha St. Patrick came off as the good wife. The one who was willing to do whatever it took to keep her family on whole. She was the wife who held it down while Ghost did what he had to do to make sure his family never wanted for anything. But then came along Angela Valdez and Terry Silver.

Ghost was the first to make his escape. While he and Angela rekindled their past relationship, Tasha stood her ground as the jealous wife until she couldn’t take any more. In the midst of feeling hurt, she indulged in a tryst with the younger Shawn which she felt was only right since Ghost was sleeping with Angela.

Even when Angela and Ghost broke things off, Tasha didn’t stop. After Shawn, Tasha fell for her husband’s lawyer, Silver and without knowing her future, got the tables turned on her something awful.

For Tasha, the affair with Silver she thought was for love when for him, it may have been about getting over on James. Think about it. Silver is a square and he had a chance to take the woman of a man whose a known killer. That was a pure adrenaline rush. Maybe he felt something for Tasha but in her true moment of need, Silver deserted her while Angela stood her ground.

I’m not here to condone the cheating on Power, but what’s done is done and if we were to give a gold medal in these affairs, it would have to go to Angela.

When Ghost broke things off with Angela, we knew he did it to save her life. When Terry broke things off with Tasha, he did it to save his career. Things wouldn’t be so bad for Tasha if she didn’t throw it in Ghost’s face that Terry would lie for her because he loves her. What made this worse was that while she was telling her husband this, the only person who was actually risking it all for their family was standing in the same room–Angela.

Is Angela Getting The Best Of Tasha On Power?

Angela’s position was the place where Tasha should’ve been standing. Instead, when Tasha needed help, she ran to her husband’s lover because she knew Angela still loves Ghost. All this begs the question if Tasha got what she deserved?

To be fair, she was cheated on first but she fell in love with the thought of a normal life after being the devil in Ghost’s ear about wanting to leave the criminal life. Now, with the St. Patrick family facing a possible murder charge, it’s Angela who has put her career and life on the line to try to save herself, Tasha, Tariq, and the man she loves–Ghost. Somewhere, deep down, this has to be Tasha’s worst nightmare.

She tried her best to live normal but in the end, she needed Silver to be more like Ghost while Ghost is trying to be more like Silver.
