Ride Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom As Soon As You Can….
Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster hasn’t been the most reliable ride of 2019. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom was the first to receive the Skyline Attractions Skywarp. There’s been little to celebrate as it’s constantly closed. However, the ride did have a rare opening, enabling me the chance to get on this “coaster.”
Let’s start off with the obvious. While Roller Coasters Database (RCDB) says it’s a coaster, it’s not. Don’t let that take away from your enjoyment. To be completely honest, if RCDB classify it as a coaster, just go ahead and add it to your credit count. I personally don’t think of it as a legitimate coaster.
A lot of enthusiasts will knock Haley Quinn Crazy Coaster. Some will give it a bad rep because of the delays it’s had opening and frequent closures. However, once on the ride, it’s quite good. Dare I say it’s a top-three ride at Discovery Kingdom?
This is an entirely new ride from Skyline Attractions. The skywarp loops a car around a figure-eight track, going forwards, backwards, upside down, and all-around. It’s actually a really fun “coaster.” There’s a considerable amount of airtime you’ll get on your drop down. I wasn’t really expecting that at all.
As with most Six Flags rides, the themeing is almost non-existent. The front entrance is pretty cool with the Harley Quinn statue and well designed sign. There’s also some sort of toxic chemical cylinder as well. Not a bad attempt to spice up the look of the ride, not the best, though.
What’s funny about the Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster is the amount of merchandise Six Flags sells for it. Seeing as the ride hasn’t been totally reliable, there’s a fair amount of t-shirts for the ride scattered across the park. This just seems a bit ironic given the circumstances. It’s just been a big swing and a miss for Six Flags Discovery Kingdom so far.
In the end, I’d recommend Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster if you can ride it. For a flat ride, this is really a fun attraction. I’d not call it much of a coaster, but, that can’t be the deciding factor of whether or not to ride it. Six Flags will likely install a few more of these in the future at other parks. I’d be all for them, if they are guaranteed to stay open for more than 2 days at a time.
