Riverdale: Season 4 Offers More Than Mysteries
At the end of Season 3, Riverdale fans were wondering what happened to the “Farm”. Will Betty survive and what’s up with Jughead? As a new Riverdale Season 4 trailer drops, exclusive on E-News, we see more of the same mysteries surrounding the cast but also a bit of High School life going on.
According to showrunner Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa, the Riverdale we know will be back to normal. Well, sort of.
I think the biggest thing is that the Archie characters have always been defined by being high school students, and this year is potentially their last year as high school students, and we’re really going to play that and we’re going to play with school in a way we haven’t really done since season one, and we haven’t really ever done, so we’re excited about that.
But this wouldn’t be Riverdale without any games played at high risk. While these are still teenagers, they’re often caught in the middle of grown-up issues such as death, murder, and mystery. And how could we forget love and sex?
Season 4 of Riverdale will do something different and give the fans a bit of mystery to solve as it will take a page away from “How To Get Away With Murder” and offer fans a Flashback storyline.
Aquirre-Sacasa would go on to tell E-News:
I think some of the fun of season four and flashing to that is understanding and figuring out how we get to that point in the story,” he told us. “So it’s not something that is immediately going to happen, but we’re goin to start sort of seeing threads pulled in that direction. We’re going to see what leads up to it and then we’re going to see the fallout to that scene, and that’s sort of the general shape of season four.
Can’t wait to see what happens when Riverdale returns for its Season 4 premiere October 9th.
