Having watched Shoresy a little more than I’d like to admit, there are plenty of characters we’d love to see become a bigger part of the story in season 2. With no official word on the renewal, we’re diving in on pt 2. of characters we need more of.

JJ Frankie JJ

With limited interaction and a laid-back demeanor, JJ has been a bit of a mystery. Although he is a bit of a “potato” as Shoresy would say, JJ does well with the ladies. What would be absolutely fantastic is if he falls from grace. If JJ falls to pieces after Laurence leaves. They play him off as a more silent type and what better way to use that to their advantage than closing him off in depression? But with that being said, you know who’s next …

Laurence LeBoeuf

I’m not saying it needs to happen, but you know what the ultimate payback would be. A Shoresy/Laurence relationship. No, not a real one, but one where they use each other to make both Laura and JJ jealous. The two clearly have animosity toward each other and forcing each other to be nice would be very comedic. v

Cameos

If you’re a die-hard Letterkenny fan or squinted hard enough, the two play-by-play commentators might have looked awfully familiar. Both Glenn and Noah Dyke (Dyke with a y) appeared in season 1 and it would be absolutely fantastic to see more characters from Letterkenny appear. Not in a way you’d notice them either, but rather hidden in plain sight for eagle-eyed fans to spot. The obvious choice would be Stuart and Roald djing at the Coulson or having Riley/Jonesy in the stands at the home games but where’s the fun in that? Get a few of the actors involved the way we didn’t see Shoresy’s face in Letterkenny and carry over some of the bit where we might not see their faces but know they’re there.

The Jims

The Jims are such f-kin beauties that we just need more of them. The funniest part of the 3 characters is the two with minimal lines and the one that just overshares. “Yea”, “Yep” and “actually I’m lactose intolerant …” but the real gag is how little they say, but how much everyone has to say about them. Just being the on-screen presence and letting everyone else have the jokes makes their role twice as funny. They know their role, they love their role. It’s a perfect fit.

Shoresy was the surprise of Hulu comedies that picked up right where Letterkenny left off. Now we just need Hulu to get on board with season 2.
