Super Bowl 52: Nick Foles Finds Alshon Jeffery deep for TD (Video)

Super Bowl 52 started off with both offenses streaking downfield before being stopped by their opponents defense. Yet, Nick Foles looked solid on the Philadelphia Eagles’ first drive and then broke the game open offensively with a deep bass into the end zone as Alshon Jeffery jumped up high and grabbed the ball for the touchdown.

There’s been no nervousness evident for the Eagles on either side of the ball. The offense has played well so far. Foles threw a beautiful pass to Jeffrey who secured the ball somehow as he fell to the ground. The play was reviewed as all scoring plays are and was ultimately confirmed real fast.

Foles struggled during the regular season but has played way better in the playoffs as the numbers show. So far in Super Bowl 52, he is 8-for-11 for 102 yards and a touchdown. After the touchdown and through two drives offensively, Jeffery has caught two passes for 51 yards including that 34-yard touchdown catch from Foles.

The Eagles took the lead back by six points after the extra point was missed by Jake Elliott. Before the touchdown, LeGarrette Blount ran for 37 yards. Philadelphia’s offense has found success on the run and through the air through one quarter.

It will be interesting to see if the Eagles can sustain this success for the entire game. So far the Eagles offense has found a way to get points on each drive but the Patriots’ defense is known for making stops when it matters especially in the red zone.

Foles has shown he can play with the best yet again. His deep pass to Jeffrey should prove his haters wrong who think he isn’t good enough to win the Super Bowl. For now, Eagles fans should be happy with how Foles and company have played through 12 minutes of Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota.
