WrestleMania made New York City quite a busy area last week. While the showcase of the immortals was held in New Jersey, many events were being held in surrounding areas that included New York City. I was fortunate to go to one of the events that happened, and it wasn’t a promotion. I was able to go to the Busted Open 10 party at Haberno blues in New York City.  I wanted to say this to the guys of Busted Open on Saturday but was unable to do that due to how many people were there.

Here is a little letter to what I wanted to tell them:

                Dear Busted Open crew,

I want to first congratulate you guys on reaching ten years. It is tough to do. I became a fan a few years back and recently purchased a subscription to SiriusXM for Busted Open. You guys made it cool to talk wrestling and not to come off like a nerd. I see the product in a much different light than I did years ago. The additions of Bully Ray, Mark Henry, and Tommy Dreamer make it even better because they have lived through it. Not trying to take anything away from Dave LaGreca. The whole show gave me the inspirations in doing my weekly wrestling podcast, the Comeback Wrestling Show. It’s great to know there’s a show that talks wrestling. However, it doesn’t feel like a wrestling show. To this listener, it comes as two guys sitting at a bar and talking pro wrestling.

You guys are like Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan. It seems you guys have fun what you guys do.

Thank you for what your guys and please don’t stop. Your show has done wonders that can pack out a restaurant in NYC.

Busted Open airs every morning Monday through Friday 9am to 12pm on Fight Nation.
