The Blacklist: NBC Must Do A Crossover Event With The Endgame Soon

The Blacklist

With the success of crossovers sprinkled across primetime TV, one has to wonder why certain shows have not joined the crusade. The OneChicago series is notorious for this with Chicago PD, Chicago Med, and Chicago Fire. Hell, they have even gone as far as adding Law and Order SVU to the mix. But there is one more franchise that NBC has yet to merge with anyone. Now is the time to pair The Blacklist with the new hit show, The Endgame.

The reason the two shows should do a crossover is for the sake of paring Raymond Reddington together with Elena Federova.

Reddington alone is must-see TV with his storytelling and criminal ways and Federova for her pure genius and mysterious past. Putting these two in the same room would spell dom for Government-based agencies or anyone else in their path.

Coming up with a storyline would be pretty easy, especially if fans of The Blacklist are still interested in finding out the truth about Red’s true identity or who ordered the hit on Elizabeth Keen. The writers could easily weave together a story that involves Federova and Red from their past dealings.

A paired Task Force with Park, Cooper, Dembe, Aram, and Ressler paired with the New York agents Val, Doak, and Flowers would make things more intense. Neither really likes to work with Reddington but how would the Task Force feel by adding another criminal mastermind to the mix?

What’s appealing about Reddington is that he’s not all bad. He does things for his own gain but in the end, he would risk it all for Cooper or anyone else he’s close to. As The Endgame series grows, I’m pretty sure we’ll find out that Federova is willing to do the same.

In the first few episodes of The Endgame, we do learn that despite her violent ways, she’s not the terror that she’s made out to be. She could have easily killed Owen but she let him live. The same for Sergey. While in prison together with Owen, Sergey could very well kill him or have him killed. There is more to this story than what we know so far. Pairing these minds together would make for great TV.

NBC is known for its stellar crossovers and we have yet to see one on this level with such criminal mastery. Federova is quickly becoming one of the best characters on primetime while Reddington ranks at the top of the list. Finding out the truth about Liz is still Reddington’s main mission but to have Federova involved in some sort of way could bring back memories of Red vs Mr. Kaplan.

Let’s get this done.
