The Blacklist: Who The Hell Gets Custody Of Young Agnes Keen?
Why the orphan stage? Why did the writers do this to young Agnes Keen? With the supposed death of Elizabeth Keen, who now will look after young Agnes Keen? Tom is dead, which placed her in the full custody of her mother but with the way Season 8 finished, it appears as if Agnes has no one to turn to.
Truth be told, there are options but none that stick out as a sure bet.
The most logical person would be Raymond Redington. But Red is jet-setting across the world daily and how much of a positive or safe environment can he provide for Agnes? And besides, after what happened to Liz in the Season 8 finale, Red may be on a mission to destroy anyone in his path.
Then you have the members of the Task Force. Aram would be a great father but is he really ready to raise a kid without having someone by his side? Ressler is not ready for that type of responsibility either. Park, is still a bit of a mystery and she has a dark side that will not pair too well with Agnes.
Harold Cooper is a great fit. He’s a born leader and more responsible than anyone else on the team and has a great support system with his wife. But is he or she ready to take it back a few years and watch over a little girl who may very well suffer from some sort of trauma as she gets older? No mom or dad and both were killed.

Then you have Tom’s parents. Her grandparents are super dysfunctional. Neither one of them can be trusted. In the past, Susan has kept Agnes in the past but from what we’ve seen in The Blacklist: Redemption, she has her own personal demons she has to contend with. As for her grandfather (Tom’s dad), well, he’s no better. He’s just as dangerous as Reddington.
Liz’s father is dead, well, the jury is still out on that one. Agnes’ grandmother (Katarina) may still be alive somewhere as a woman or walking around as a man so who knows how fit he/she is to take custody. Then there is the wild card here, Mrs. French.
Mrs. French has a history with Katarina and just a brief one with Liz and Agnes. However, by the end of Season 8, Agnes and Mrs. French appeared to have formed a tight bond. With Liz gone, is Mrs. French the one who will take custody of Agnes?
With Liz’s story supposedly over, is this the last we will see of Agnes? It would be a shame for fans of Liz and even Tom if the last remaining member of the Keen family is just written off the show.
