The Equalizer: Was The Kidnapping Real Or Just An Illusion?
An action show starring Queen Latifah was met with mixed reviews in the beginning. Latifah does not scream action hero the same way Zoe Saldana has done in her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Latifah had done a wonderful job in the first two seasons of The Equalizer. Now, as the show heads into its third season, it will pick up with a major storyline that ended Season 2 regarding Robyn McCall and her kidnapping.
A good portion of Season 2 revolved around the cat and mouse showdown of Robyn and Mason Quinn. Robyn wants to bring Quinn down due to their past but he’s also responsible for the death of Robyn’s mentor and friend, William Bishop.

With the CIA nor Quinn not knowing if Robyn has told her family about her private dealings, a car slammed into the vehicle that carried Robyn, her aunt, and her daughter. Following the collision, men rushed to the car and grabbed Robyn and placed her in a van, and sped off. No one was injured but Aunt Vi and Delilah were left to witness what happened to Robyn.
Was it staged or was it real?
Earlier in the episode, Robyn was offered the lead on the Task Force. While we never saw what transpired after the initial request, there could have been a plan put in motion where they staged her kidnapping. However, on the other side of the coin, what if Quinn did get to Robyn first? If that is true, then that opens the door for all kinds of possibilities for Season 3.
If it was the CIA who grabbed her, that allows Robyn time to go after Quinn, but she will still need to find a way to get a message to her family and friends that she is safe. But if it was Quinn who snatched her, then Robyn could be in major trouble. With no one knowing where she is being held, her team will have to work double-time to rescue her.
Season 3 of The Equalizer, no matter who grabbed Robyn is sure to start off explosive. It’s just a point of answering the question of was the kidnapping real or staged?
