The King’s Man (Trailer) – Where it All Begins
Five year’s ago, the world was introduced to Kingsman: The Secret Service, a comedic spy film. Starring Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, and Samuel L. Jackson the combination action/comedy gave us a new spin on the spy film and appealed to a wider audience. Spy films are typically all action and straight forward spy work, complete with explosions and other tropes to keep action fans please. However, Kingsman takes a more humored approach keeping a light heart and more grounded appeal.
If you’ve ever wondered where it all started, then wonder no more. After the success of the sequel. The Kingsman franchise this time will go back in time with a prequel to the hit series with The King’s Man set to debut in February 2020. The film stars Ralph Fiennes and Matthew Goode and will serve as a prequel.
As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them.

Having only seen the original, twice, I can only speak based on that alone. There’s two ways to watch the original if you haven’t kept up with the franchise. The first is the theatrical release that may or may not hook you or the much funnier unrated version that should have you laughing the whole way through.
If you can’t get enough of The Kingsman franchise, don’t worry. If the rumors are true, then a third Kingsman film is on the way to wrap up the trilogy, a Statesmen spinoff is in the works, and a tv series is being planned as well. Apparently, the world can’t get enough of the spy comedy. Of course, all of that is still up in the air as Disney now owns 20th Century Fox, the studio in charge of the Kingsman franchise, so everything is still up in the air with what they’ll do to developing properties. Hopefully they’ll continue a growing franchise.
