Top-6 Flat Rides At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Flat rides are a staple at any theme/amusement park. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has quite a few. While there are some SBNO (Standing But Not Operating), they’ve still got a great overall collection. With that being said, what are the top 6 flat rides at
6. Daredevil Dive-
Six Flags classifies their Larsson Loopers as coasters. In fact, they are flat rides according to RCDB (Roller Coaster Database). The ride pretty much takes you around a circle. You’ll go upside down about 10 times. Sometimes you’re left hanging for 15 seconds. It’s not a fun ride at all. Some really love these loopers, I’m not one of them
5. The Arc-
Your standard pirate ship, The Arc is an enjoyable experience. It’s not as intense as Ocean Motion at Cedar Point, although, you get a bit of airtime and forces on the ride if you sit near the back.
4. Thrilla Gorilla-
The parks Matterhorn, there’s a special feature about this ride that draws guests in. The giant gorilla at the center of the ride. This gorilla is a nice touch to really complete the themeing of the ride. Thrilla is one of the more intense versions of this ride I’ve done. You really get pushed to one side of the car.
3. Monkey Business-
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has a very fun teacups ride, Monkey Business. While the ride cars aren’t teacups ( they are themed to trees), this is eerily similar to the classic Disney ride. Of course, there are plenty of these in the world, but once again, the themeing helps this ride. In addition, it’s also shaded, giving you a much-needed break from Northern California hea.
2. Hammerhead Shark-
The only issue I’ve got with Hammerhead, it’s closed often. If you do get a chance to ride, this is one intense flat. You’re seated on two sides. The ride arm rotates you upside down similar to a clock motion. It doesn’t really kick in until you go
1. Wonder Woman Lasso Of Truth-
It’s no surprise as to what the top flat ride is at Six Flags
There you have it, the top 6 flat rides in at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. There are a few others that were left out, although, most where covered. If visiting the park, be aware that some can build up a long line. The queue tends to move rather quickly. All of these are must do at the park.
