WandaVision’s May Have Revealed Some Mystery in Episode 3
The first two episodes of WandaVision left plenty open to the imagination. So when Friday came around, we couldn’t wait for the third episode of the series titled “Now In Color”.

“Wanda’s pregnancy fritzes her powers as she and Vision prepare for an accelerated delivery.”

Jumping right into episode 3, there’s so much to unpack. First, in each episode, Wanda is realizing there’s more going on in her world than it seems. We’ve been stuck wondering if she’s created this alternate universe to shield herself from the pain of losing vision in the events of Avengers: Infinity War. However, “Now In Color” may have tipped us off to her not being in control of the world around her.
More Entertainment: WandaVision Might Be More Important Than Endgame
Throughout the series so far, Wanda has been able to control and manipulate the things around her. Between the flying plates, the magic show, and laying out the dinner for Vision’s boss were easily maneuvered despite the comic nature of early sitcoms. The lone tip-off to Wanda not being in control was the stork in her living room.
Despite multiple attempts to banish the bird from the room, she tried and failed each time. Easily this could’ve just been a subtle nod to the fact her children were coming no matter how hard she tried to slow it down, but with the tone of the show, it could’ve been a hint as well.
Then of course there was Geraldine’s slip-up to the outside world. When Wanda was reminiscing on Pietro, she asked “He was killed by Ultron, wasn’t he?”, which Wanda did not respond calmly. It was in this moment that not only tipped us to the world outside of this sitcom theme but brought us full circle on Wanda’s story.
WandaVision has a clear cut story arc for the Scarlet Witch. Despite the intrigue of the show, there’s no hiding Wanda’s state of mind. Bringing the death of her brother back into the story reveals just how much she’s dealing with her grief. Her story comes full circle back to the pain of losing her brother to Ultron shortly after she loses Vision at the hands of Thanos.
More WandaVision: A Curious Start for Small Screen MCU
Whether she is in control of this world or someone else is, this is where she’s escaped to in order to deal with her grief. As one of the most powerful characters in the MCU, someone out there wants her distracted while she deals with her pain. Either someone has lead her to this alternate world, or she went willingly, she is being monitored as a precaution to keep her from unleashing on the world around her.
Hopefully, we get more clues Friday when WandaVision’s fourth episode airs.
