Will Agents of Shield Give Us the Send-off We Deserve?
Agents of Shield is one of those rare types of shows where you want it to end before it fizzles out, but are never really ready to let it go. A show that started as a small screen spin-off evolved into one of our favorite superhero shows.
When it first began, Agents of Shield brought Phil Coulson from the Avengers films to the small screen following the events of the movies. At one point in season one, they had both Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Jamie Alexander (Lady Sif) briefly reprise their roles from the big screen. Looking back on the show it’s hard to remember it actually happening. Once the ABC spinoff distanced itself from the ever-popular MCU it developed its own sense of style and energy giving us one of television’s best set of heroes.
Entering now into its seventh season, the show is coming to an end leaving us to wonder how they will send us off. Based on the show’s heartfelt and shocking moments, there’s a good chance that there could be a tearjerker or two left.
More Entertainment: Is Going to the Movies A Thing Of the Past?
Of course, we know Agents of Shield is no stranger to the send-off moments. Who can forget Trip’s death all the way back in season 2? Then season 3 upped the ante with the send of Bobbi and Hunter. Top it all off with what many assumed was the show’s series finale in season 5 and there have been some of our favorite moments on television.
Agents of Shield hold’s its place as one of the rare shows that seem to get better every season. Despite what many called a lull, the show remained ever-popular among die-hard fans.
Getting two more seasons out of a show that seemed like it was in constant limbo was an absolute dream. With the show coming to an end, we face the final goodbye of the team we’ve grown to love. Do the writers have one more emotional send-off for this amazing run of what was once an unlikely spinoff? Hopefully, season 7 will leave us with the best one yet.
