Woman Crush Wednesday: Jessica Pimentel is the Latin beauty with Power

Some women in Hollywood are beautiful and that’s thanks to others. While there are some women that have that inner/outer beauty that cannot be described. The latter is how I view Jessica Pimentel of Orange Is The New Black. To see her in the prison outfits with no makeup still drives me crazy but it’s what she embodies off camera that has men drooling.

Maybe it’s the New Yorker in me that drives a connection but it’s something about Jessica that screams inner city. It’s the way she talks and walks that makes me feel like she will hop on the No.2 train on Atlantic Avenue and ride Uptown to 138th to grab a bite to eat and just blend in the crowd. Hollywood cannot be this real, this is a trait that only a few have in that profession.

Pimentel was born in Brooklyn New York to Dominican parents where she attended the High School of Performing Arts and the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, where she was a member of the professional acting company. Pimentel has had roles in films such as Illegal Tender and Pride and Glory. Her small screen honors include stints in shows such as Law and Order SVU and Person of Interest.

Besides acting, Jessica is also the lead vocalist and recording guitarist for the Brooklyn, NY-based heavy metal band Alekhine’s Gun and Bassist for NY heavy metal/ Hardcore band Desolate. She is a featured and endorsed artist for Spector basses, Halo guitars, and Krank Amps. It’s needless to say, Pimentel is one of the truly blessed women in Hollywood but what else would you expect from a fellow New Yorker?
