Woman Crush Wednesday: Maggie Q is still a seductive assassin
To me, Maggie Q will always be Nikita. She walked, talked and fought with a flair that’s missing in most TV shows today. What I loved most about Maggie was her ability to not give a damn about the audience. While most networks are going for the more sex appeal look with full figures, Maggie showed us (well me) that a petite figure can be as sexy as Kim Kardashian.
Maggie Q was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her father is of Irish and Polish descent while her mother is Vietnamese. At the age of 17, by request of a friend, Maggie joined the modeling world to earn money for school tuition. However, it was during her time modeling in Hong Kong that her life changed forever.
Jackie Chan saw potential in Maggie right away as she cast to be in his latest movie but Maggie was a student/model and never thought about hitting the big screen. Since 1998, Maggie has starred in countless TV shows and movies and had provided the world with one tough onscreen persona. From Nikita to Beth Davis and now, Hannah Wells on Designated Survivor, Maggie has shown that even when you’re not searching for it, an opportunity could be staring you right in the face. You just have to be willing to take a chance on something different.
Maggie is engaged to her Stalker co-star Dylan McDermott and while that has been a surprise to learn I am willing to let him have her until I can make it out to Hollywood.
It’s never the size of the dog in a fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. That’s how I view Maggie. As petite as she is, she’s by far one of Hollywood’s underrated actress and one of the sexiest women we have walking this earth.
Sorry, Dylan.
