WWE: Are we heading towards a Roman Reigns/Daniel Bryan match at Clash of Champions

The WWE has Roman Reigns in this weird angle. The week before Summerslam, Roman Reigns was set to announce who he was gunna face. However, he was toppled by backstage items on his way to making the announcement. Then, Roman Reigns was hit by a car on the Raw after Summerslam. It’s worth noting that Roman Reigns didn’t have a match at Summerslam.

As the video shows, Eric Rowan was the one who pushed the items on him. However, Daniel Bryan claims that he knows nothing about it. Since Clash of Champions is a few weeks away, I feel WWE is set to have them clash at the event. It would make sense for several reasons. The WWE has spent a ton of TV time on this angle and continue to prolong the culprit coming out. Also, it’s worth noting that this feud had been build for sometime. You essentially have two of the most over guys within the WWE in this feud. This isn’t the first time the WWE has gone the attacker route in a storyline. In recent memory, the last time this happened on the main roster was what led to the breakup of Enzo and Big Cass. However, they recently did a similar angle in NXT between Aliester Black and Johnny Gargano. What makes the Black/Gargano feud interesting was it came off the heels of the infamous between Ciampa and Gargano.

If they do have a match at Clash of Champions, I suspect they will continue it to Hell in the Cell. Once Hell in the Cell is done, then this feud will be over. This is because I suspect Roman Reigns to be involved in the title scene once Smackdown goes to Fox in October.

Clash of Champions happens on September 15th and will see the finals of the King of the Ring touranment.
