WWE Backlash: Big Cass needs the win more than Daniel Bryan

The WWE had the Greatest Royal Rumble last Friday. Now, since that is behind the WWE, they are now turning their attention to Backlash. It will take place this Sunday from the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

One of the matches scheduled to take place will see Daniel Bryan take on Big Cass. The build for this match began when Big Cass made his return after being on the shelf with an injury. We saw him make his return during a Daniel Bryan backstage promo. Since then, they have feuded as one of the moments took place at the Greatest Royal Rumble. As Bryan was nearing his historical day, Big Cass would come in and eliminate him. The whole premise of this feud has been Big Cass’ claim that no one cared about him being cleared because Bryan was cleared the same day.

[JonBlayneAds] As far as this match goes, Big Cass needs it more than Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan could afford to lose here, and I don’t see it affecting where he stands. However, Big Cass can’t afford to lose on Sunday. He has mainly been a tag team superstar (teaming with Enzo Amore). He had a little bit of a run before the injury where he was a singles star. However, he was feuding with Enzo Amore and at that point, Enzo wasn’t liked at all.

If Big Cass wants to be taken as a legit big man heel, then he needs to get over on Daniel Bryan. Raw has Corbin as their big man heel. As of now, I can’t really think of who that would be on Smackdown. The opportunity is there for him, he just needs to be booked the right way. If he wins on Sunday, he will be able to get a ton of heat from the WWE Universe that it will help him.
