WWE: Bobby Lashley needs to get better booking after Backlash

The night after WrestleMania, Raw would see the return of Bobby Lashley. He had been away from the WWE for a decade. It seems that he has been placed in tag matches or multi-man matches. Actually, the three matches he has been in since his return were a 10-man tag match, 6-man tag match, and had an appearance in the Greatest Royal Rumble. I understand to a point why they are doing this, it is to slowly reintroduce him to the WWE crowd. However, if you’re a hardcore wrestling fan, then you don’t need to be reintroduced to him.

At Backlash, he will be in another tag match as him and Braun Strowman will take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. It’s been great to see Strowman and Lashley tag together, they need to start pushing Lashley as a singles star, we may make fun of TNA, but when Lashley was apart of it they knew how to push him as a top singles star. Personally, I’d have him and Strowman feud to see who would become the Number one contender for the Universal title.

I know Roman Reigns is the push for the Universal Title and that has got the WWE nowhere. I know Strowman has been in the hunt for the Universal Title. Although, it would be nice to see someone different. Also having Lashley be in the fold would make it different. A match between Lashley and Lesnar is one of those fantasy matches, why not have it be for the Universal Title. I don’t see them keeping it with Reigns because they would have pulled the trigger already.

The booking that the WWE has done recently with Bobby Lashley doesn’t hurt him. However, you can’t keep it going forever as he isn’t a tag team star like Cesaro. I’m hoping that the WWE begins his push sooner than later.
