WWE: Chad Gable Is Not Being Booked Correctly on Raw

The WWE roster on both Raw and Smackdown is overloaded. Due to it being overloaded, there are several superstars who are being misused. They aren’t getting booked the right way. This includes Cesaro, Bobby Roode, and others. However, it seems that one of the most misused wrestlers right now resides on the Raw brand. I’m speaking of Chad Gable. As of this writing, he is being paired with Bobby Roode as an odd team that is working. I say Chad Gable is being misused because he isn’t getting booked right.

Throughout most of WWE/NXT run, Chad Gable has been stuck in the tag team division. Since he has been on TV, he was paired with Jason Jordan. This pairing would last from 2015-2017. During there run, the duo would become both NXT Tag champions and Smackdown Tag champions. It seemed that WWE would only give Gable any TV time, if he was with Jason Jordan. They would end up breaking up when Jason Jordan was revealed as Raw General Manager Kurt Angle’s son.

When this happened, there was this feeling that the WWE would finally give Chad Gable a singles push. They didn’t go that route and would pair Chad Gable with a returning Shelton Benjamin. This would last until the latest Shakeup. The latest shakeup saw Chad Gable appear on Raw.

The first thing people thought was that WWE would pair him up with Jason Jordan. They didn’t go that route as Jason Jordan is still recovering from his neck injury. So they didn’t use Chad Gable for some time. Recently, they started pairing him with Bobby Roode. It is coming off to me as a coach/student type of relationship. Gable has the makings of someone who could hold his own in the singles. While I don’t expect the WWE to continue the pairing between Bobby Roode and Chad Gable that long, I would suspect there will be a singles run would be the next logical move.
