WWE: Chris Jericho wasn’t out of line for dedicating his WK 12 match

It seemed that Chris Jericho made a bit of news hours before his clash with Kenny Omega. There was a fan who drew him a picture. In this picture, you see Chris Jericho and on each shoulder, you see the late Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. When the post went up, Jericho added a comment that he will be dedicating his match to the both of them. Unfortunately, this has been met with some backlash.

There were a ton of wrestling fans who ended up voicing their displeasure. Essentially, they didn’t agree that Jericho should dedicate his match towards Chris Benoit after what he did. In case you are not aware, Chris Benoit ended up killing his wife and child and ended up hanging himself. As of now, there is still no definitive reason for why he did this.  It got to the point that Chris Jericho ended up going on Instagram and explaining his reason. I am paraphrasing here, but he essentially said that he still thinks about what happened and people don’t have the right to tell him what to do.

Personally, I agree with him. I am not condoning what Benoit did. However, we need to move on and stop bringing it up. Those three guys (Jericho, Benoit, and Guerrero) would dominate the Japan wrestling scene for most of the 1980s and 1990s. This is how Jericho feels, then what are we to stop him. Also, this is the first time that Jericho is back in Japan in 20 years and due to how much attention is going to be on this match with Omega, he wanted to dedicate to two people who couldn’t be there.

I don’t see any problems with what he did and anyone who did, you shouldn’t. Chris Jericho squared off against Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 early Thursday morning.
