WWE: Dalton Castle is the latest ROH superstar on the radar

The “minor leagues” of the WWE is NXT. While NXT has become the companies third brand, it is still where most of the WWE superstars come from. While the WWE has NXT, it seems that they also have Ring of Honor to go for. Many WWE superstars like Seth Rollins, Cesaro, and Rodrick Strong are just some of the ROH talents who are now killing it in WWE. Apparently, another former ROH Champion is on the WWE’s radar.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE has expressed some interest in the former Ring of Honor champion, Dalton Castle. It’s worth mentioning that the WWE has wanted to sign Dalton Castle since 2017. During the summer of 2017, there were rumblings that a deal was in place between the two parties. However, Castle would end up re-signing with Ring of Honor. It seems that the WWE has been in signing mode lately. While they will never come out and admit it, but there’s one logical reason why they have been signing guys lately or have them on radar.

In 2019, the All Elite Wrestling promotion is set to begin. This newest promotion is set to be lead by the guys of the Elite. This would include Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Hangman Adam Page, and the Young Bucks . This is due to all of their contracts expiring at the end of the year. The WWE are no dummies. They realize that this promotion will attract some of the biggest names in the industry.

In the WWE eyes, if they can sign many of the top talent within the wrestling industry, it will mean less guys available for AEW. Dalton Castle is a former Ring of Honor champion. Personally, the addition of Dalton would do great with NXT. In addition, I would somehow have him and Tyler Breeze team up. Personally, I feel those two would work great as a team.
