WWE: How I would book a feud between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose
On Raw last night, WWE Universe would see the contract signing between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler for the IC Title Match at SummerSlam. As we saw throughout the night, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle mentioned how there is a part of the contract where Seth Rollins can have someone in his corner. Once this was mentioned, it was very clear that Dean Ambrose was coming back.
We get to the last segment of Raw. General Manager Kurt Angle, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre are all in the ring. After Ziggler and McIntyre both had time on the microphone, Ziggler ended up signing the contract. It would be then when Seth Rollins would finally make his appearance. He would begin by apologizing that he was late. He mentioned how there were travel issues, just not for him. We would then see Dean Ambrose make his return and appear on Raw for the first time in nine months. He had a much different look to him.
Now that Dean Ambrose is back, what should the WWE do? I suspect that the WWE will go one way and that is making Dean Ambrose a heel. This would lead to a feud between the two Shield members heading into the fall. However, the question that needs to be answered is how we get to a feud between a heel Dean Ambrose and a face Seth Rollins. While a belt would make this feud interesting, you don’t necessarily need to have it be the focal point. Rollins and Ambrose have enough chemistry that it could work.
Let’s same for argument sakes that Seth Rollins is able to recapture his belt on Sunday. You would figure that Ziggler and Rollins would have another match at Hell in a Cell for the belt. At Hell in the Cell, they have a great match and we see Rollins retain the belt. As Ambrose is in the ring, we see him hit Rollins with a dirty deed. Then you fade to black. The next night on RAW, we see a beaten up Rollins who wants to know why Ambrose attacked him.
Ambrose comes out and says while he was on the shelf, he was getting tired of Rollins and his act. You can then begin the feud by October and have it lead right into the WWE Royal Rumble.
