WWE: Kid Rock in the Hall of Fame before Lemmy or Jim Johnston is a disgrace

We are truly in the thick of WrestleMania season. Over the last several weeks, the WWE has announced the class of 2018 for the Hall of Fame. This years class will include Goldberg, Dudley Boyz, Ivory, JJ Robertson, Hillbilly Jim, and Kid Rock. Now, I don’t have a problem with this year’s class except for one specific person. I do not agree with Kid Rock being in the Hall of Fame at all and let alone before guys like Jim Johnston and Lemmy from Motorhead. Both of those guys had more of an impact on the wrestling industry than Kid Rock.

In my research, the only two things I found on Kid Rock with ties to the WWE is that he wrote Undertaker’s American Bad Ass theme music. In addition, Kid Rock also performed at WrestleMania 25 in Houston. He wasn’t involved in any major angle or anything bigger than those two things I mentioned. On the other hand, Jim Johnston and Lemmy have done more things to contribute to the wrestling landscape than Kid Rock. Lemmy doesn’t have as much of an impact like Johnston does, but it is bigger than Kid Rock. He is responsible for Triple H’s entrance material when he was a singles star. This would include the Game and the King of Kings. In addition, he is responsible for Evolution’s theme song. These songs are iconic and ones that most wrestling fans remember.

On the other hand, Jim Johnston probably made the biggest contribution to the music aspect of WWE. He was part of the company from 1985 until his release in 2017. Over the 32 years of being involved in the WWE, he is responsible for hundreds of theme music. This would include Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker. Those are two of the most iconic entrance songs in the WWE.

Hopefully, these guys will get to be in the Hall of Fame sooner rather than later.
