WWE: Maybe Pulling the Becky Lynch/Ronda Rousey Match Was a Blessing

The WWE will be holding be invading the Los Angeles area for Survivor Series. One of the matches that people were looking to mostly would see them pit Raw woman’s champion Ronda Rousey taking on Smackdown Woman’s champion Becky Lynch. However, those plans were canceled after Becky Lynch got injured during the Smackdown led invasion on the Raw Woman’s division. On Smackdown, Becky Lynch announced that Charlotte would be replacing her. So, we are getting the matchup that was the plan for WrestleMania 35.

I’ll be echoing most of the WWE fan base, it sucks what happened to Becky Lynch. Those two were getting a ton of time to cut great in-ring promos. There was a ton of hype of this match. While there was a lot of positive vibes heading into this match, pulling this may be a blessing in disguise. Let’s be honest, WWE was probably going to have Becky Lynch get destroyed by Ronda. Becky Lynch is still too hot of an act. A loss like that could hurt her push. On the flip side, Charlotte is in a position where she could afford a loss to Ronda and it wouldn’t hurt her.

Now that Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey is off for Survivor Series, it will become interesting to see when we will actually see this match. The WWE would be foolish to not actually go through with it. You had two of the hottest acts in what was turning out to be one of the better feuds to close out 2018. Being that this would be an inter-promotional kind of match, it would need to happen at a major pay-per-view. Being that you have the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 35 on the horizon, you would think that one of those would be a perfect spot to have this match.
