WWE Money in the Bank: A Jinder Mahal/Roman Reigns feud might be an attempt to get Reigns over

On Monday night, the build for WWE’s Money in the Bank began. We would end up seeing Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, and Ember Moon be in matches to qualify for the Money in the Bank. However, one of the interesting things occurred towards the end of the triple threat match between Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, and Roman Reigns.

After Reigns was on the outside for ring for a few mins to sell what Balor and Zayn did, he came back in and was closing in on getting his ticket for the Money in the Bank Match. As he was setting up the superman punch, he would end up getting tugged from outside of the ring. It would end up being Jinder Mahal interfering in the match. This would end up leading Finn Balor to hit the coup de’ grace on Reigns. While it came off surprising, it really didn’t come off that much of a shocker.

If you recall, Kurt Angle announced to start the show of the two triple threat matches. We would then see a backstage segment with Kurt Angle and Jinder Mahal. Jinder was wanting into the MITB match. He made an interesting point where he said he doesn’t get why Roman Reigns is still allowed endless opportunities to the Universal title. We are now getting a Jinder Mahal/Roman Reigns program. It depends on how they book this program that would decide if this heads into SummerSlam.

I know there is a lot of people who aren’t in favor of this feud. While I am not in favor of it, I see what the WWE is sort of doing. They are figuring that if they have Mahal and Reigns get into a program that it will help Reigns get over with the WWE Universe. You need to look at it like this, the WWE Universe doesn’t like Mahal. You are essentially getting Reigns over.
