WWE: Money in the Bank will show the fans the direction the WWE is going
WrestleMania 35 has come and gone. We have a new Universal champion, WWE champion, and Women’s champion. It’s worth noting that as of this writing, the women’s champion is holding both the Raw and Smackdown belts.
We are a little bit over a month away from Money in the Bank. This is the pay-per-view where we find out who holds the briefcase for a guaranteed title match of their choosing. Let’s look at the men’s side. You have Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston holding two of the top belts for the company. Being the fact that you have booked these guys in such a way, I can’t see a way that either of them lose their belts so fast. However, the WWE does face a bit of an issue. Hopefully, they are able to address this issue on TV over the next month or so. The field for the men’s Money in the Bank match is wide open. Thinking off the top of my head, I could see a scenario where you have 4 guys from Raw and 4 guys from Smackdown in this match. The issue that comes with that is who would be in the match.
As far as who could be in it, there’s a ton of options. On the Raw side, you could have The Miz, AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, and Finn Balor. Nothing is set and those could be different. On the Smackdown side, you could have Big E (If he is back from injury), Samoa Joe, Ali, and Rusev. I’d like to make it clear that this isn’t the direction, but who knows.
On the women’s side, the field isn’t so wide open but it’s still tough. If you follow the same way the men’s match, it can be interesting. You could have Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Dana Brooke, Ember Moon from Raw. On the Smackdown side, you could have Asuka, Carmella, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville. I didn’t mention Charlotte because I don’t feel she needs to be in the title picture. She’s over enough with the WWE universe and doesn’t need the belt.
