WWE: Once Lars Sullivan Gets Called up, he Would Benefit Both Brands
When it comes to the WWE, there is usually two times a year where call-ups occur. The nights after WrestleMania and SummerSlam are when we see NXT stars make their main roster debuts. You tend to not see many happen if one of those events aren’t occurring. Well, it seems that we are set to see our next call-up. As we saw in the vignettes that aired after Survivor Series, Lars Sullivan will be heading to either Raw or SmackDown.
In the previous call-ups, the superstar needed to go to one brand or the other. Personally, Lars Sullivan is a much different case. Both Raw and SmackDown would benefit from having Lars Sullivan on their roster.
How Does Lars Sullivan benefit Raw?
As we saw this past Monday, Raw has credible babyfaces. Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman are out of action, Elias and Finn Balor have been booked poorly, and Seth Rollins is dealing with Dean Ambrose. If the WWE books Lars Sullivan the right way, he could be a credible babyface to take down the new Authority of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre.
How does Lars Sullivan benefit SmackDown?
On the other hand, SmackDown would also greatly benefit from having Lars Sullivan on their roster. If you look at the Raw roster, they have a lot of big men who are singles stars and in the main event and higher mid-card. Some of them that come to mind are Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, or Bobby Lashley. You can’t say the same thing on SmackDown as there are no big men who are in the main event. He could do wonders as a big man.
What it comes down to basically is how the creative team books Lars Sullivan. Depending on how they book him will be the barometer to how it goes for him. As of this writing, there is a bidding war for the services of Lars Sullivan.
