WWE Raw: Are We Heading Towards a Feud Between Kurt Angle and Constable Corbin?
Last night, Raw took place from the Barclay’s Center. We had a segment where Stephanie McMahon would return to “celebrate” Ronda Rousey’s title victory. Due to the fact that neither superstar likes each other, this led to Rousey applying her signature armbar to Stephanie McMahon. A few segments later, we would be brought to a backstage segment that would include General Manager Kurt Angle, Stephanie McMahon, Constable Corbin, and Alexa Bliss.
Alexa Bliss didn’t say much as she was selling what Rousey did to her the night beforehand. The segment was more involved with Corbin, Kurt Angle, and Stephanie McMahon. As a viewer, it came off to me that they were writing Angle off TV for some time. This came after Stephanie McMahon said to Kurt Angle that he may need to take a vacation. In the interim, McMahon named Constable Corbin the acting General Manager of Raw. I won’t be shocked if this is leading to some sort of program between Constable Corbin and Kurt Angle at Survivor Series.
The scenario that I could see play out is quite simple. You have Corbin kissing McMahon’s Ass for the next couple of weeks. For example, you can make it tough for Rousey with her title. It gets to the point that Angle returns. This would lead Stephanie to make the announcement that Angle will take on Corbin at Survivor Series with a stipulation. The stipulation is that whoever wins will be the new General Manager of Raw. It is clear that Corbin as an authority figure hasn’t worked. The Constable Corbin gimmick is similar to the likes of Corporate Kane. They had nothing to do with the superstar, so they made them into an authority figure.
However, even if you have Corbin lose to Angle at Survivor Series, you can still make Corbin strong.
