WWE Royal Rumble: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn should shift to the tag division
As we saw on Sunday night, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn failed to become co-champions. Since we didn’t see a turn from either side, my guess is that the WWE will keep them together for some time. Since Shinsuke Nakamura won the Royal Rumble, you won’t keep Owens and Zayn in the main event scene. However, the tag division could use them. It is lacking in heel groups that are not a comedic act.
As of this writing, you have The Usos (faces), New Day (faces), Benjables (faces, who fans boo like heels), The Ascension (heels), Breezeango (faces), and the Bludgeon Brothers (heels). The WWE has basically done nothing with Harper and Rowan since they came back to TV. Breezeango and the Ascension are comedy acts. New Day doesn’t need the titles now and the WWE wouldn’t have the Usos feud with them again. After the Benjables lost twice at the Rumble, no one will take them seriously. So the WWE really has no practical teams for the Usos.
[JonBlayneAds]I have heard people say that Rusev and Aiden English should enter the tag team picture. While that wouldn’t be a bad idea due to them being over with the WWE crowd with the Rusev Day, it won’t last. They are over because of Rusev Day and eventually, it will die out. While Owens and Zayn may not last long, you can have them in the tag team picture until you get more teams in the division.
It is without a doubt that Authors of Pain are WWE main roster bound soon. I have been saying for some time that they are probably Smackdown bound. What you do is have Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn take the titles off of the Usos at Fastlane. Then you have AOP be surprises at WrestleMania 34. Even if the Authors of Pain work the night before, at the Takeover event, you could have them work WrestleMania night as well.
