WWE Rumors: AJ Styles, Samoa Joe to clash at WrestleMania 33

We are roughly a little bit over 100 days until WrestleMania 33, which is April 2, 2017, in Orlando. While nothing has been set as to what the matches that will be on the card, there happen to be rumored as to what we might be seeing on April 2nd. Some of the rumors are Dean Ambrose vs. Shane McMahon, Undertaker vs. John Cena and Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman for the United States title just to name a few. However, there happens to be a new rumor that is floating around and it involves two people who have faced each other in the past.

According to PWInsider, WWE officials are now discussing of possible having AJ Styles have a match against Samoa Joe. This would more than likely be Samoa Joe’s first feud once he gets called up to the main roster. As PWInsider reports, while there won’t probably be a title involved between Styles and Joe, just the idea would get eyes on the event. It should be interesting to note that if this were to happen, then it would be the first time these two cross paths since their Ring of Honor days.

However, it would be interesting to see how WWE goes about doing this. Here is one suggestion of how WWE can have this play out on TV. You have AJ Styles have a match against the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble and have him drop the belt. Then you have AJ Styles in the Royal Rumble to get eliminated by Samoa Joe, who would be making his WWE debut. You can then have a babyface AJ Styles go into a feud with a heel Samoa Joe. It would also be interested because while both of these guys had stints in TNA, they very rarely had a one-on-one match. So this match would attract fans of many wrestling promotions. It would interesting to see if WWE actually goes this route.

This is a rumor and should not be taken with a grain of salt.
