WWE Rumors: Becky Lynch favorite to win the Royal Rumble
We are two weeks away from the 2019 Royal Rumble. Once we get to Phoenix, we will officially be on the road to WrestleMania. While there’s no clear winner, there are certainly rumors going around to who the WWE might have won the 2nd Women’s, Royal Rumble.
According to several rumors, the WWE might use the Royal Rumble to set up Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania for the Raw Women’s title. These two were supposed to face each other at last year’s Survivor Series. However, Becky Lynch got injured on the Raw beforehand. Prior to the injury, this rivalry was gaining a ton of momentum. If the WWE does go this route, the hope is that they would get the main event spot of WrestleMania. There has never been a woman’s match main event WrestleMania.
However, I see Charlotte Flair being added to this match. Somehow, she will win the Women’s Elimination Chamber match and use it to get into the match. Charlotte and Ronda have unfished business coming out of Survivor Series. In addition, I figure she will be added for another reason. If you recall, Ronda Rousey screwed both Becky Lynch and Charlotte out of the Smackdown title when she knocked them off the ladder.
If the WWE ever wanted to have a main event of WrestleMania be done by the women, now would be the time to do that. The women wrestlers in the WWE are some of the best superstars in the world. They put on matches that sometimes outdo their male counterparts.
In regards to Becky Lynch winning the Rumble, it makes sense. At the time of this writing, there are no other women who are on the main roster who deserve to have that opportunity.
This is only a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt
