WWE Rumors: Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania opponent revealed
We are a couple of weeks away from WrestleMania 35. As of this writing, we only know of the WWE Universal title match and the Raw Women’s title matches for the card. We should find out what the other matches will be in the next couple of weeks. One of the matches that people are curious to see is the WWE Championship title. At the Elimination Chamber, we saw Daniel Bryan defend the title inside the Chamber. He took on Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles.
Kofi Kingston ended up being the MVP on that night. His performance would jumpstart this movement of seeing Kofi Kingston in the main event spot of WrestleMania 35. However, it seems that Kofi Kingston isn’t who the WWE is picking to face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. According to rumors, the WWE will more than likely pick Kevin Owens to be the one to take on Daniel Bryan. Kevin Owens hasn’t had a match on TV in a few months as he was recovering from double knee surgery. Let say that we don’t see Owens until the Smackdown after Fastlane, you are only giving them four weeks to build a story towards WrestleMania. On the other hand, you have something with Kofi Kingston. In the time span of ten days, you have created the blue brand’s biggest babyface.
The WWE are fools to not give Kofi Kingston a shot and let him have a WrestleMania moment. He is one of your longer tenured wrestlers and has done everything you asked him to do. Yes, Kevin Owens certainly deserves a shot at the title, but not now. You could hold off Kevin Owens going for the title until Money in the Bank. I’m of the mindset that you should prove to the WWE universe why you deserve a shot. At the present moment, Kofi Kingston is more deserving of facing Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania than Kevin Owens.
