WWE Rumors: Hulk Hogan/Vince McMahon to have a match at WrestleMania 36
As of this writing, we are 179 days away from the WWE descending onto Raymond James Stadium for WrestleMania 36. While we don’t know for sure of any matches, we will start to know them or at least the direction within the next couple of months. However, there is now rumblings that we could see a retirement match between Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Hulk Hogan said that he pushing for one last match in his hometown of Tampa Bay next April at WrestleMania 36. He claims that if his eighth back surgery is success, he’ll make himself healthy enough for one last match. While he was talking with Vince McMahon, he said he wasn’t sure if he could live with himself knowing that his last match took place in 2012 for TNA Wrestling. He has also gone on record as saying that he wants his last opponent to be none other than Vince McMahon. It’s worth noting that Vince McMahon is in his mid 70’s and Hogan is in his late 60’s. I know that the WWE likes to make moments. With that being said, this would be the dumbest idea to come out of this company.
For starters, you have two guys who have not been wrestling since 2012. This would be an awful match and would not get cheered. The WWE has been in this mindset to rely on the past for a number of years. If this were to be apart of WrestleMania 36, this would be the eighth straight WrestleMania were a part-timer gets a match on the big stage. The WWE needs to start showcasing their future as they will get to the point that the past won’t be there.
If anyone from WWE reads this, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS MATCH!!!!!!!!
This is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.
