WWE Rumors: James Storm is NXT bound
Over the last couple of years, several Impact Wrestling guys have made the move to the WWE. They would include AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, and Eric Young to name a few. Many of them have been successful since coming over to the WWE. There are rumors now going around that the WWE had signed another former Impact superstar. The rumored superstar from Impact making the move to the WWE is none other than James Storm.
James Storm is a TNA original. He was with TNA from 2002-2015. Over those 13 years, he would be apart of several tag teams or factions like the Revolution, America’s Most Wanted, and Beer Money. Due to TNA’s working relationship with Japan, he would also compete in NJPW several times as well. In 2015, he wouldn’t resign with TNA and ended up coming over to NXT.
It was a brief run as he only had two matches for the company. In December of 2015, he decided to return to TNA and not sign with NXT. Storm’s second run with TNA would go from 2016-2018. He would end up losing a career vs. career match and that’s how he ended up leaving TNA. Since that loss, he has been making it on the indie’s scene. He has gone up against a lot of the new signees of NXT like Matt Riddle and Keith Lee.
Him coming back to NXT would do wonders for the brand. You have someone in James Storm who has been on the wrestling scene since 1997. In fact, over his 21-year career, he has become a multiple time champion and multiple time tag team champion. I would hope that if he is coming to NXT, we would see a pairing of Beer Money again. This would give Bobby Roode something to do as he is being booked in an odd tag team with Chad Gable as of now. We should know for sure when he appears on Busted Open at 11 AM on Monday with Dave LaGreca and Bully Ray.
